Real estate developer Arco Vara and the Estonian Padel Association sign sponsorship agreement
Arco Vara and the Estonian Padel Association have signed a sponsorship agreement aimed at supporting the development of youth padel in Estonia and contributing to the international competitive journey of young athletes.
According to Rait Riim, CEO of Arco Vara, the cooperation with the Estonian Padel Association is a natural step for the company, as padel is already an important part of Arco Vara’s community and sports culture. “Arco Vara has built and owns the Helme padel center building, we regularly organize public Arco Vara padel tournaments, and we offer our team the opportunity to play padel through dedicated company court times. We see that padel is a rapidly growing and community-oriented sport, and supporting the next generation of young players is essential for its continued development,” said Riim.
Arco Vara’s support is earmarked for the participation of the Estonian youth national team at the 2026 European Junior Padel Championships in Portugal, as well as for organizing stages of the Estonian Padel Association Youth League during the 2026/2027 season and the 2027 Estonian Junior Championships.
According to Jaanus Kosemaa, President of the Estonian Padel Association, support from the private sector plays an important role in the development of young padel players. “We are very pleased that Arco Vara decided to contribute specifically to youth development. This support will help the Estonian youth national team participate in international championships and create opportunities to organize high-quality youth competitions in Estonia as well. Such cooperation contributes to the sustainable development of the entire sport,” said Kosemaa.
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in Europe, and its popularity is also increasing rapidly in Estonia.
2025. As of 2025, Estonia has 2,861 registered padel players, including 485 young players. The growth has been exceptionally fast – just two years ago, there were only 677 registered players, and in 2024, the number had grown to 2,054. The active competitive scene is also reflected in the Estonian Padel Association rankings, which currently include 442 men and 143 women. To qualify for the rankings, a player must have participated in at least one official federation tournament during the past 12 months.
