GALLERY: Arco Vara celebrates topping-out ceremony in one of the final phases of Kodulahe quarter

Arco Vara marked the completion of the structural frame of the penultimate phase of the Kodulahe quarter with a topping-out ceremony held yesterday. The development at Soodi 6, located near Stroomi Beach, will bring 62 new homes and four commercial units to the area, with completion scheduled for the end of this year.

According to Rait Riim, CEO of Arco Vara, the Kodulahe quarter, which the company began developing in 2014, has evolved into a highly valued living environment. “Today, we can clearly see how this area by Stroomi Beach has developed into a distinct neighbourhood of its own. The Soodi 6 development is a natural continuation of the Kodulahe quarter, creating value both for future residents and the wider community. Our goal is to create environments and homes where it is good to live, move, and spend time,” said Riim.

Three buildings will be constructed on the Soodi property – a city house, a gallery house, and a courtyard house – offering a diverse selection of homes ranging from compact apartments to larger family residences. Many of the homes feature private front gardens, spacious balconies, or rooftop terraces. A public urban square to be built alongside the development will add further value to the local community. The architectural concept of the project was developed as a result of an architectural competition organized in cooperation between Arco Vara and the Tallinn Urban Planning Department.

The main contractor of the development is Arco Vara’s subsidiary Arco Tarc. According to Lauri Männiste, CEO of Arco Tarc, the focus of the Soodi 6 project is on high-quality execution and attention to detail at every stage of construction. “We have been involved in the Soodi project from the planning phase, with the aim of ensuring that the completed homes meet both current and future expectations of residents,” said Männiste.

Soodi 6 is one of the final stages of the Kodulahe quarter, where Arco Vara is developing nearly 700 homes in total. In addition, the detailed planning process has been initiated for the neighbouring Lammi 6 property. Upon completion of the entire quarter, Arco Vara will have created living opportunities for approximately 2,000 people.
