GALLERY: Arco Vara’s Kristiine development reaches its final height
The residential development in Kristiine by real estate developer Arco Vara has reached its final height, which was marked by a topping-out ceremony held yesterday. Two four-storey buildings are being constructed at Spordi 3a and 3b, with construction having started last summer. The cornerstone was laid in September, and the 56 homes in the development are scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
A topping-out ceremony to thank the builders and partners was held on Friday. According to Rait Riim, CEO of Arco Vara, this is the moment when the vision begins to take a clear shape. “At this stage, it becomes increasingly evident what the future homes and their surrounding environment will look like. Our goal is to create a comprehensive living environment where people truly want to live,” he said.
The Spordi development is being built by Arco Vara’s subsidiary Arco Tarc. According to Riim, the name of the development – Spordi – reflects well the pace of the project, as it is one of the fastest developments in Arco Vara’s history. “A year ago, Arco Vara acquired the plots, and construction began in June. By the end of this year, the first residents will already be moving into their new homes. Such pace does not happen on its own – it requires cooperation, discipline and a very strong team,” he noted.
A total of 56 two- to five-room apartments will be completed across two buildings on Spordi Street. The courtyard between the buildings will feature a landscaped green area with a playground and an outdoor gym. “Each home has been designed with the needs of a modern urban resident in mind. Sports facilities, educational institutions and everyday services are all within walking distance,” added Riim.
Arco Vara acquired the Spordi 3a and 3b properties in the first quarter of 2025. The homes are scheduled for completion by the end of this year, and the total investment amounts to approximately €15 million.
